People in despair always long for a savior’s arrival, hoping someone will emerge as the divine figure to redeem both themselves and the world. And so, those who crown themselves—or are crowned—as “divinities” or “emissaries of the divine” step into the spotlight, ready to perform. Yet, more often than not, they unleash evils far worse than murder, rape, or plunder. Those crimes may jolt people awake, sparking resistance and keeping some limits intact, but these “divinities” demand your gratitude for the suffering they inflict. It’s like being forced to swallow filth while they proclaim it’s the finest feast on earth.
Those who begin by claiming—or being hailed as—“divinities” often end up as fiends, or even raving fiends. In truth, the world we live in needs neither divinities nor fiends to keep turning. The essence of modern civilization lies in recognizing that we’re all human. Divinities and fiends are mere projections or playthings of the mind. When they spill into reality, they don’t create paradise—they plunge us into the endless abyss of hell.
